Pack-rat's treasure...
When I was sick in 2003/4 I read this poem, "Ascension" by Colleen Corah Hitchcock, online one day. I stuck it away in a folder I kept of things I read and liked. While looking for something today I ran across it again and thought I would share it with all of you.
And if I go, while you're still here...
Know that I live on,
Vibrating to a different measure
Behind a veil you cannot see through.
You will not see me,
So you must have faith.
I wait for the time when
We can soar together again,
Both aware of each other.
Until then, live your life to it's fullest
And when you need me,
Just whisper my name in your heart,
...I will be there.
And if I go, while you're still here...
Know that I live on,
Vibrating to a different measure
Behind a veil you cannot see through.
You will not see me,
So you must have faith.
I wait for the time when
We can soar together again,
Both aware of each other.
Until then, live your life to it's fullest
And when you need me,
Just whisper my name in your heart,
...I will be there.

QOTD
Quality is never an accident;
it is always the result of high intention,
sincere effort, intelligent direction,
and skillful execution. It represents
the wise choice of many alternatives.

Thank Him
I can't remember where I heard this first, but it is a prayer that has stuck with me:
Father, I thank You that You know me.
You know my name.
You know what tomorrow holds for me.
You already know when I'm going to slip up,
And, You love me.
Father, I thank You that You know me.
You know my name.
You know what tomorrow holds for me.
You already know when I'm going to slip up,
And, You love me.
Cool like that...

QOTD
I wanted to share a great saying that I heard and thought of today:

ICE!
Steph and I went to Opryland's "Ice!" today. It's a really good one-time visit event. Let me warn you about one thing, however. I work in a room that stays around 65 degrees year-round and normally cool temperatures do not bother me, but this exhibit's room is kept at a mind numbing 15 degrees!

Toys for all ages
Steph and I were Christmas shopping a few days ago at Toys-R-Us and while looking for something for myself looking for the perfect gift for kids in the family I realized something... kids today have it made! I mean, Michael, remember back in the day when we actually had to move the action figures manually (up hill, both ways)? So sad, but hey, it's Christmas, so buy them something nice, dig?
